With alternative licenses developing, physical music distribution becoming more difficult, netlabels emerging and functioning, in their own terms – or not, the sense or possible nonsense of bringing out records, we thought it was time to gather all kinds of musical structures, to discuss the viability of being an alternative label, musician, platform.
Participants: Logos Foundation, Cdrk, Autoplate, electrobel, (K-RAA-K)3 and other Dj's of DIY stuff (on tape, cdr, cd, vinyl, floppy disk). Participating DIY labels: Veglia, Imvated, Glasvocht,Sundaysinspring, Another-record, Matamore, Cocacolabo and Minijack.
Also present: Microboutiek: a microshop with independently produced visuals, comics and music. The shop was created under the wings of Cinema Nova and sets up camp there twice a month. For VJ8 they will present very home-made mostly Belgian products.
