Artists and graphic designers are only beginning to enter the world of free operating systems. Most of them use an Apple Macintosh computer, and on this platform the installation of Linux is significantly harder than on a regular PC. In this workshop we will examine specific distributions for Mac (
Yellow dog, Gentoo ppc, Debian ppc, ...) and test out the different methods to cope with the PowerPC architecture.
The workshop will last two afternoons. If you want to participate, please send an e-mail to: info@constantvzw.com
With the collaboration of
Domaine Public and the
Brussels Linux Users Group.

Linux On Mac
A long journey to install the penguin on a wide variety of macintoshes:PPC 4400, pismo, and ibooks. The clash between old hardware and installer sometimes resulted in interesting software art worth posting to
runme.org :-)
