apple cake
350g self-raising flour
175g butter
3 eggs
200g demerara sugar
3 medium apples
8 dried apricots
75g ground nuts
3 spoons apple and pear jam
mix flour and sugar and half the nuts
mix beaten egges with melted butter
cut two apples in bite-size chunks
cut the apricots in small pieces
mix together to form a paste
put in a baking tray
cut the remaining apple in thin slices
arrange on top of the cake
spoon the remaing nuts on cake
bake in oven (gaz4) for 50min
put the jam in a saucer with 3 spoons of water and
cook to make a syrup
glaze the cake with syrup
